Looking for French pastries or cakes? Here is my growing collection of teatime treats, commonly served around 4 o’clock (goûter or quatre-heures). Typically it’s something light and sweet (recipes are reduced in sugar) such as biscuits or cookies, a slice of cake or a French pastry to serve with tea. Ice cream or sorbets are also perfect as an afternoon teatime treat in summer.
